From the East to the West and back, they examine displacement and identity, rebellion and conformity, pride and shame, devotion and disaffection, and, most importantly, a quest for unequivocal love and universal acceptance. I’ve always considered myself a citizen of the world and all my work is about breaking political and ideological barriers, taboos, and stereotypes.”
